As well as theory study on each area, over the three days, Adam and James took part in a class of every description and a mini-seminar to see the information in action. Plenty of rolling with Tom, the other course participants, and the club’s regular students took place, and Tom and Chelsea also taught some great technical Jiu-Jitsu knowledge.
Awarded to both Adam and James at the end of the course was a certificate confirming that the participants had completed a Fundamentals of Coaching course for Escapology BJJ.
It was an informative three days with lots of useful knowledge learnt.
We are very pleased to announce we are now an affiliate of Tom Barlow (3x World Champion & 2nd Degree Black Belt) and Chelsea Leah’s (World Champion & 1st Degree Black Belt) Escapology BJJ.
Tom and Chelsea visited our BJJ club in Portsmouth, England earlier this year to deliver two excellent back to back seminars both Gi and No Gi and we were so impressed by their amazing level of knowledge, excellent teaching and seriously high level Jiu-Jitsu, that we decided to affiliate our club with them and learn from them on a regular basis.
We were really pleased to hold our first seminars at our Portsmouth BJJ club recently, inviting Tom Barlow(3X World Champion & 2nd Degree Black Belt from Braulio Estima) and his wife Chelsea Leah (World Champion & 1st Degree Black Belt from Andre Galvao)to teach two seminars, 2 hours in the Gi and 2 hours No Gi, back to back on a sunny saturday afternoon in April.
