We really enjoyed our first outdoor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Portsmouth Session this July where we trained No Gi BJJ on the beach in Eastney near southsea followed by a BBQ!

It was a great evening training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Portsmouth, The training and BBQ was completely free for all students and we studied many BJJ techniques in good thorough technical detail including half guard to butterfly guard to sweep, closed guard to triangle to armbar, standing guillotines and the de la riva guard to situp guard sweep to guard pass to back take to rear naked choke sequence shown below!

This was followed by plenty of enjoyable rolling, as people took turns to spar while we watched and gave advice and feedback to help improve their performance. we then finished off with a BBQ.

It was a fantastic event and really enjoyable training and rolling outdoors next to the waves watching the sunset. We plan to repeat the experience next year, hopefully several times!
